Capitol

Well when we arrived at the Capitol or the block that it was on, trying to find a parking spot in the parking complex was kind of crazy,  the roof seemed to be to low in some spots... lol... but we finally found a spot on the top floor. Then we took the elevator down and started to walk towards the Capitol.

Past Meetings

In the last few meetings I have been helping by building some of the robots from NXTprograms.com
Also we have been praticing on our table and presentation and have built our pit table board that explains were we are from.

ATLANTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last Saturday we won 1st place in our state competition but it took alot of hard work. When we got recalled to rejudge the robot desine with the Robot Masters we knew thats somthing good was going to happen. Then during the award ceremoney i will admit that some of the catagories seemed to fit us and it did scare me for a few moments. Then after we didnt place 1st or 2nd in the robot disine catagorie we knew that it would be all or nothing.

Last Meeting

On the last meeting I helped with building and repairing a few things and we also got to do a few runs with the robot. One of the robots was being evil and not working right but the other one got two 400 runs out of 4. The other two were 345 and 375. Also we fixed one of the missions that wasent quite working right and now it works almost all of the time.

That is all...

yesterday

Yesterday Heidi and I worked on some of the PR stuff and we finished our team bio that we are giving some of the people on friday. Also I started doing the bullets.

This Week...

This week i have been helping out with fixing arms and sharing ideas with programing. Also we have been practicing with the presentation and got our time down to 4:23. Now on the table today we did 4 runs with the new missions compleated and got 400 points twice. Also we have gotten the time on the table down so that in the end we have 10 - 20 seconds to spare for mistakes and other things that could go wrong. Overall it has been a good week and i cant wait untill tomarrow.

HMG....

Today I went to HMG to talk to some experts about our energy sources. Unfortenitly they did not have much on solar but they had alot about apliances, lights, and buildings. Also I learned about a few new things that we can use for the library. Like for buildings you could have a cooling fan at the door but that only reduces the airflow by about 40-60% when you can just put in another set of doors and stop  the flow of air by almost 100%. The information we learned and gathered at HMG will help us alot (i hope...).

Todays Meeting...

Today I helped program and build a new arm for the Hydro Dam. Also today Karl and I stated to make a possable Evo 6.. (or 7 forget wich one...), and aslo I helped with the platform...

Today at Tracy's

Today Al, Robin, Joey, Gaven and Me talked to the engeniere at Tracy and learnd a few cool facts. For solar in particular I learned that when you install solar panels you want them to face south as much as possable because thats were you will get the most sun hours...
